HolidayTree

What does HolidayTree mean?

HolidayTree is a Christmas tree with lights. It is scenery more than a feeling. Chat posts it to decorate, to mark a holiday stream, or to put something cheerful behind a message. It does not clap and it does not cry. It stands there, which is what a tree does. The spooky counterpart is HolidayCookie. The cozy fire is HolidayLog.

Origin

Winter global. Twitch drew a simple tree so it would read at emote size: triangle, lights, done. People spam a row of them when a channel goes full December. That is the correct use. A single tree next to a normal sentence is also fine.

When to use HolidayTree

• Decorating chat during a holiday stream
• A tree lighting, a background, or a seasonal raid
• Rows of them, if the channel has committed
• Not as hype for a play. The tree does not care who won.
