PRChase

PRChase

What PRChase means on Twitch — a locked-in face and a personal record on the line.

What does PRChase mean?

PRChase Twitch emote

PRChase is a focused face for a chase: a personal record, a last split, a ranked game that still might be the best one. Chat posts it when the attempt is live and talking about it might jinx it, which has never stopped chat. NewRecord is the medal after. PRChase is the face during. TriHard is trying hard. This one is trying for a number.

Origin

Photo global. PR is personal record, the way runners write it. The code is the mode. You can see the focus and skip the abbreviation if you want. The abbreviation is why speedrun chats adopted it.

When to use PRChase

  • A live PB attempt
  • The last split, the last game, the last pull
  • Before NewRecord, never instead of it if they got it
  • A grind that has become a chase
